Fès-Saïss airport is an international airport located about 15 km south of Fez, and 50 km from Meknes in Morocco. It is managed by the National Airports Office. In 2019, the airport recorded the passage of 1,417,881 passengers.
The airport has two terminals: the first handles domestic flights and the second handles international flights with a total area of approximately 5,600 m2 and a nominal capacity of 500,000 passengers per year1.
The second terminal, with an area of approximately 17,000 m2 and which increases the capacity of the airport to 2.5 million passengers per year, is currently operational 2. Its entry into service was announced for September 2014, then postponed to March 20152,3. In June 2017, the new terminal was inaugurated by King Mohamed VI4.
The latter also includes an aero club (Aéroclub Royal de Fès) which offers Private Pilot Training (PPL), and also offers first flights and initiation flights.
